What matters is stability and functionality similar to Tally used for financial accounting. Also it would be preferable to have vendors who have products both on Saas as well as server based.
Another thing that matters for SMEs is cost. The software should be affordable and economical.
Also with data/information on cloud, you give users access only to the resources they need for a particular task which prevents the HR deptt. from paying for idle computing resources.
Most SMEs have their homegrown systems to cut costs. But the substandard quality of manpower doesn’t allow the organization to grow further.Hence there is a need of a professionally developed automation software.
